Today I'm discovering Magnolia Texas we are here at Lacy's golf carts let's go in and see what they're all about ladies grab your husbands Keith thank you so much for having us out here today let's get a little bit of your background are you from Magnolia do you live here in Magnolia I am I I grew up in Tomball Magnolia we had a farm in Tomball sold the farm when I was young moved to Magnolia.

I went to the Magnolia schools moved away for a little while and found my way back yeah and you've always kind of had an interest on tinkering working on different kinds of vehicles or equipment and things like that and that's kind of your background to where you got started in this right little bit Yeah side hustle thing uh grew up working in my dad's machine shop I would do some little stuff on the sides dirt bikes four-wheelers fix them up stick them out in front of the shop during the day while I was working and make a little extra money on the side got into golf carts um kind of the same way just they started getting popular found a couple for sale and fixed them up stuck them out there they sold really fast and I knew I was on to something there awesome so how long your Magnolia location is a little newer but you've had another location over in Tomball for quite a while we're actually celebrating our 5year anniversary in Tomball then uh we opened a Katie store we have a Katie location as well on 99 to I10 at Mor Ranch that store has been open for just a little over a year and a half MH and we're actually going to be celebrating our oneyear anniversary here in magolia next month so let's talk about what you have here in this store you have like quite the selection and some pretty cool toys with all the lights and everything so tell us about what you guys carry we carry Evolution and Venom that's our two brands that we uh stock here in the stores you're right they're very loaded with extras a lot like your car today they've got all the safety features turn signals brake lights War seat belts mirrors USB ports audio systems handsfree calling Apple carplay Android auto you name it it's got it not only with the inventory that you have but you actually can people can bring what they have in and you guys can kind of soup them up right that's right so yeah if you have an old Club Car easygo Yamaha something like that that you want to add a lift to do some customization add any of those features that these carts come with uh from the factory we can do as well we also do a postery paint I mean you name it I started the business refurbishing old cart so yeah so who is your typical customer what are they looking for when they come in here.

About Tiffany thank you so much for having us out here today why don't you tell us a little bit about your story you are from Magnolia or you live in Magnolia at least we live in Magnolia we've been here for about 8 years originally from the woodlands so not far away I grew up here moved here in the late ' 80s with oil and gas and this is where we've made our home yeah so what's your background how did you get into doing your boutique oh my goodness so short long story is I taught coupon classes and did Extreme Couponing in The Woodlands forever we had a website so we had this really great following of some really amazing women and uh we taught them how to save money and live frugally and from that we kind of started finding them deals and things online.

I was helping them Shop and Save money in certain places so they could spend more money on other things balanced that out a little girl math I've always loved of course clothing and you know loving to get a really good deal on something that is really nice that maybe looks more expensive than it is um and then also being able to save some money so that's kind of how that started and then it eventually turned into um you know for a couple years we worked with a company selling just their clothing and then we decided to do our own thing and uh here we are this place is massive you have a wide variety of options here let's talk about your apparel let's talk about the shoes let's talk about the there's so many things there's a lot in here it's it's a bigger brick and mortar a bigger retail space and we actually have the warehouse behind here as well it's 22,000 foot Warehouse you know for our business online but here in this store the importance of this store specifically is to be able to try on denim you know it's so hard for women to buy denim online I mean it's just it's one of the worst things to do it's terrible it's just as bad as trying denim on in person you kind of have to be in the mood for it but we don't want people to have to return stuff you know and we just kept thinking you know we sell so much denim we're the number one blue supplier in Texas we're about third in the country we sell so much denim I just wanted somewhere local for people to be able to try on denim get confident know what their size was and then they're more confident purchase online and then you know we we added in you know dressing rooms so I thought we better need dressing rooms this is before we opened and then I thought well they're going to want shoes to try on cuz you don't know you're inseam you don't know how long it's going to be and I thought well we probably should throw in a couple tops so put in a few tops in here but um that's really what we did it was also the thing about this that I think has been one of the most special things is I for so long online just saw a name and a little face when they would shop with me and having a place locally so our really good local customers who've been with us forever could come in and I can actually see their face yeah that part of it is what has been so special okay so not only do you have your business here in the community but you also help sponsor other organizations in within the community so we do a number of things our Boutique is named after our daughter we have scholarships in her name and then we also have a jewelry line that all the proceeds from that jewelry line go to her scholarships and fundraising for different organizations that we you know kind of sponsor throughout the year for scholarships do a lot of sports equipment with smgsl um we love to do things with orwall you know everything in our community locally here so everybody wants to come into your store where do they find you so we are on 1488 5522 we are right by tirelink right across from popy ton of construction right now but it's still not stopping everybody it's super easy to get in here enough parking but you'll see us for sure whether you're looking for the perfect denim or the perfect pair of shoes to complement that outfit Emily's Boutique is where you need to be come on in guys thanks again for joining us on discovering Magnolia Texas don't forget to like And subscribe and we'll see you next time this small business spotlight video is brought to you by Erica stenroth your local Magnolia realtor in partnership with greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce.
